Galatians 4:4-5

4 But when the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under law, 5 to redeem those under law, that we might receive the full rights of sons.

It’s that time of year again! In a few short days we will celebrate yet another Christmas Day. May we be amazed at the story of Jesus, God’s Son, born of a virgin woman some 2000 years ago. What an awesome story that reminds us of God’s amazing grace. Jesus Christ came at just the right time in history to author a way to true salvation and eternal life. As I drive around our community, I see countless scenes recalling that faithful night when Heaven met earth. It was just the beginning of a 30+ year journey for Son of God, as the Creator spent one-on-one time with His creation. He was born, grew up, ministered, healed, and ultimately died for the sins of the world. We no doubt spend this season giving and receiving gifts and spending time with loved ones. Let the gifts we give and/or receive be reminders of the greatest gift ever given…Jesus Christ. So many have lost the true meaning of this season, so take it upon yourself to remind others of this very fact…it isn’t about the gifts under the tree, but about the gift of God’s grace in Christ!

2 Corinthians 9:15

Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!

Father God, thank you for the greatest gift this world has ever witnessed…your Son being born into this world. He ultimately went to the cross for my sins and transgressions. Help me to show others how great a gift they have available to them in Him alone. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
